Marie-Eve Scheibling resides in Grenoble, France, where she is a professor at the French University of Grenoble and Resident Director of Boston University's Study Abroad program. Previously, she resided in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served as Boston University's Coordinator of French language programs (1985–1989) and Lecturer of French Language and Civilization (1983–1993). She also taught French at Simmons College in Boston.

Prior to relocating to Massachusetts, Ms. Scheibling taught French and English as a Second Language at Stanford University in California, and was a high school teacher in several lycées in France and at the University of Grenoble's Institute of Technology.

Ms. Scheibling maintains a deep interest in the educational and cultural aspects of international development, and has devoted considerable time to forming language clubs in England, France and the United States. She has been actively involved in international exchange programs for North American and European students, and is a keen observer of African politics with strong interest in the cultural diversity of the continent.

Ms. Scheibling holds a B.A., an M.A., and a professional teaching diploma (CAPES) from the University of Grenoble. She currently lives in Grenoble, France.
